• A “Library Card” is necessary for borrowing materials. 
• Please show identification (driver’s license, student ID card, or residence ｃard) with your name and address on it.

• Users may take out up to a total of 15 items (up to 5 audio-visual materials) at one time, for 2 weeks (15 days).

• Please return materials by the due date.
• A book drop is available when the library is closed (please do NOT return fragile materials such as CDs using the book drop).
• Materials may be renewed once for 2 weeks from the original due as long as there is no waiting list.
• Borrowers may renew materials at the circulation desk, by phone or over the Internet.

• You can make a reservation if materials you search are on loan or are not in our library.

• Library materials may be photocopied for personal use only. (Under the Japanese Copyright Law).
• 10 Yen per copy (b/w, size up to A3).
• Color photocopier is available only in Central Library.

The materials at Osaka Municipal Libraries can be searched through the Internet.(in Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean languages)
In order to search and reserve materials online, register at the library where you got your library card issued. Then you will get a password  for online services.

Internet and Mobile Phone Service

By registering over the Web, you have access to your personal library record. You will be able to receive e-mail notifications when materials you have reserved are available. You may also review items currently checked out on your library card, renew materials, reviews the status of titles you have placed on hold over the Web.

Electronic Books(EBSCO eBooks)

Our Electronic Books service is provided through EBSCO eBooks. You can access some 3,500 English and 2,000 Japanese titles.(July, 2018.) No charge is required.
